A sampling of how LEONARD GEORGE operates...
Media Relations, Internal and External Communications
For over a decade LEONARD GEORGE has been a Brand Ambassador to Airline Ambassadors International [AAI], the only non-profit within the airline industry that provides humanitarian aid to those in need around the world and often mobilizing major airlines in collaboration to fly emergency aid and medical workers to disaster-struck locations. As such, LEONARD GEORGE arranged for an OPRAH talk show crew to fly with AAI on one of the first emergency planes to touchdown and bring supplies to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, a flight not otherwise accessible to media.
The flight was discussed on a subsequent OPRAH episode.
A CNN and FOX NEWS feature on human trafficking soon followed, along with a co-hosted Dulles Airport press conference with the Governor of Virginia to sign into law an unprecedented number of bills combating human trafficking, a crime second only to the illegal drug business here in the United States. The political association provided Airline Ambassadors with a gateway to move initiatives expeditiously forward. “LEONARD GEORGE continuously opens new doors of opportunity and always jumps in with both feet to make a difference,” says AAIFounder Nancy Rivard.
LEONARD GEORGE has supported AAI fundraisers at the United Nations, running red carpet events with co-hosts of THE TODAY SHOW and working with CBS travel guru Peter Greenberg all while shedding light on global human rights issues. LEONARD GEORGE has served on the international organization’s Global Benefit Committee, and connected the non-profit to The Body Shop in an initiative to utilize the company’s airport locations as an awareness vehicle for a campaign to stop human trafficking with the First Lady of the Dominican Republic.
For the non-profit that assists disabled children in Vietnam, The Mulligan Project, LEONARD GEORGE secured celebrity talent, companies, donors, and patrons to participate in a private fundraiser in a silent auction at an exclusive residence with a guest list of Hollywood insiders. For the Gear Up Foundation, LEONARD GEORGE secured the cast of the TV series Hawaii Five O to attend their coast-to-coast 9/11 memorial that culminated in a sunset cocktail fundraiser in Honolulu.
LEONARD GEORGE led a volunteer corps to South Africa on a humanitarian, familiarization trip. With a focus on economic, philanthropic tourism. The team supported over 500 impoverished children addressing issues of HIV-AIDS through the love of soccer with the help of sponsoring five star resort Mosaic South Africa Private Sanctuary and partnering non-profits Football Foundation of South Africa, Soles4Souls and Grassroots Soccer founded by professional soccer player Ethan Zohn, winner of hit CBS adventure reality series Survivor: Africa where, on the show, he says, "Good honest people can win in the game." That's our philosophy too.
